YFriday are an English Christian rock and worship band from Newcastle upon Tyne. As with many such bands, the origins of YFriday lie in evangelistic outreach. The band consists of Ken Riley (vocals and guitars), Gav Richards (keyboards and backing vocals), Danny Smith (bass guitar) and Dez Minto (drums). The group was formed in 1994.They often play at The Newcastle City Hall at the IX Hour events.
