Tait is a Christian rock band. It includes Michael Tait (vocals/piano), Pete Stewart (guitars/piano - left in 2002) Justin York (guitars - replaced Stewart), Lonnie Chapin (bass guitar), and Chad Chapin (drums/percussion).

The band's songs combine melodic hooks, social consciousness, emotional integrity, and hip sensibilities in order to challenge listeners with its emotionally uplifting and thought-provoking songs that can relate to pretty much anyone.

Michael Tait was originally in dc Talk with Toby Mac and Kevin Max, but when it broke up, he formed Tait with Chad Chapin.
