Resurrection Band, also known as Rez Band or REZ, are a hard rock/blues band. They are well known within the Contemporary Christian music genre. They are based in Chicago, and all of its members are part of the Jesus People USA community.

They were formed in the early 1970s as part of the Jesus Movement phenomenon and have since won 17 Dove Awards, released many albums, and have had a powerful influence in the development of Christian music and the Christian music industry. Leader singer and guitarist Glenn Kaiser also has an established solo career as a blues musican and is also a well known speaker on various spiritual issues to youth and adults.

Their early sound had a lot of similarities to groups like Led Zeppelin and Jefferson Airplane. In the 1980s, they went to more of a new wave/techno/rock sound, with some of their material being compared to Van Halen. They were also one of the first Christian rock groups to have a music video featured on MTV. In the 1990s they progressed to more of a modern blues-rock based style. The Chicago Tribune once described them as being able to mix "metal madness with a social conscience", as many of

their songs were written about homelessness, racism, AIDS, "social engineering", and other topics not normally addressed by "religious" musicians.

During the 1980s they had a very sizeable following in Europe, especially in Germany. In the late 1980s, their bassist Jim Denton left to attend theological seminary and was replaced by longtime Rez roadie, songwriter and engineer Roy Montroy.
