is a theological work by the Reformer Martin Luther. In this work Luther examines the seven sacraments of the medieval Church in the light of the Bible. He argued that only two were truly sacraments and that the Papacy had corrupted the meaning of them all. In this work, Luther called the Pope the Antichrist, the figure the Bible predicts will represent Satan and his forces in the last days before the second coming of Christ.
This treatise was written after Luther's excommunication was sure. Along with two other treatises of 1520, and , it represents the first full statement of Luther's signature doctrines.
