Mormon apologetics is the field of apologetics directed toward Mormonism. It is the systematic defense of Mormonism against its critics. The term Mormon apologetics also sometimes refers to scholarly efforts to defend a particular view of orthodoxy within Mormonism, most often the orthodoxy currently promoted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, against dissenting or divergent views.
The most well-known Mormon apologetic organization is FARMS (Foundation for Ancient Research and Mormon Studies), based out of BYU (Brigham Young University). There are also numerous forums for Mormon apologetics which have appeared all over the Internet.
