The Japan Lutheran Church (日本ルーテル教団, nihon ruteru kyoudan?) is a confessional Lutheran denomination that is located in Japan. It is a member of the International Lutheran Council.

In September 1948, the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod sent its first missionary to Japan, in accordance with a resolution to establish a mission in Japan.
