James M. Gray, D. D. was a Christian minister, a professor of what was later to become Gordon Collage and a past president of Moody Bible Institute (1925-34). He was also an editor of the Scofield Reference Bible (1909).

The Torrey-Gray Auditorium at the Moody Bible Institute is named in honor of Dr. Gray and his predecessor, R. A. Torrey.
