The Church of St. George (Amharic: Bete Giyorgis) is a monolithic church in Lalibela, Ethiopia. It has been falsely rumored to have been constructed by the Knights Templar in the 13th century and to house the Ark of the Covenant.

There are numerous monolithic churches in the Lalibela complex from a similar period, many connected to one another by tunnels, but this is the most famous of them. There is a small baptismal pool outside the Church.

According to Ethiopian culture, the churches of Lalibela were constructed after King Gebra Lalibela had a vision, in which God told him to build the huge structures.
