Christians for Biblical Equality (CBE) is an organization that, based on its interpretation of the Bible, advocates equality of sexes, ethnicities, and socio-economic classes.
CBE is a non-profit organization, with members from over 80 mostly evangelical denominations. The organization was founded in 1987 by members of the Minnesota Chapter of the Evangelical Women’s Caucus and now includes members from across the United States, Canada, and 150 additional countries.
Along with providing many free articles on the interpretation of Bible passages often used to prevent women from being considered equal in the church, home, and the world, CBE also offers a book service, Equality Depot (), with resources on theology, Christian history, mutuality in relationships, reconciliation, and spiritual/physical/emotional abuse. CBE publishes two periodicals, both of which have received awards from the Evangelical Press Association: Priscilla Papers, an academic journal, and Mutuality, a newsmagazine.
